As a parent, you already provide the care and support your child needs — why not take the next step and become a Direct Support Professional (DSP)? In the Intellectual Disability/Autism (ID/A) program, DSPs help individuals live as independently and meaningfully as possible. The supports you provide are guided by your child’s Individual Support Plan (ISP) and may include:
Personal Care and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene
Toileting and incontinence care
Meal Preparation and feeding assistance
Medication Reminder (but not administration unless trained)
